Author Guidelines

Everything you need to know about preparing and submitting your manuscript.

Introductions

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines. Manuscripts submitted to our journal will be considered for publication provided that they meet the following requirements:

Language

Articles can be written in Indonesia, or English. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Anonymous for Review

Ensure the manuscript is blinded. Remove all author names and affiliations from the main document to facilitate the double-blind review process.

Scope and Originality

The manuscript must be scientific, original, and relevant to community service and engagement studies. It should be research-based or based on a comprehensive literature review, contributing to the development of community and societal studies. The manuscript must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication in any other journal.

Manuscript Structure

The manuscript must include title, author(s) name(s) (without academic titles), institutional affiliation, email address, orcid ID, abstract, keywords, main content (introduction, methods, results, discussion, conclusion), acknowledge, competing interests, and references.

Title

The title should be clear, concise, informative ,and Maximum 15 words

Abstract and Keywords

The abstract must be 150 words, keyword: Consists 3–5 words or phrase. For research articles, the abstract should include background, purpose, methodology, key findings, and contribution.

Manuscript Format

File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .rtf), font: Cambria 12 pt or Traditional Arabic 16pt, spacing: 1.5, line spacing before 0pt and after 0pt, paper size: A4, and length: approximately 3,000–6,000 words.

Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted through the online submission system as file attachments. All submissions will undergo a peer-review and editorial process without altering the core substance of the manuscript. Authors will be notified via email regarding the acceptance or rejection of their manuscript.

References and Citation Style

All references must follow the Chicago Style (Notes and Bibliography) format. Citations should be presented using footnotes (body notes) and a complete bibliography list at the end of the manuscript. Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero) to ensure consistency.

 

Reference Requirements:

References from Indonesian journals should preferably be taken from accredited journals ranked SINTA 1 and SINTA 2. Authors are strongly encouraged to prioritize references from reputable international journals (e.g., indexed in Scopus). The use of peer-reviewed journal articles and primary sources is highly recommended.

Submission Checklist

Please confirm the following before submitting:

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.

  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.

  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.

  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
